Kathy Barbini - an organic consumer
"Yes, there is no doubt in my mind that organic tastes much better, especially fruit."
Foodnavigator.com surveyed 813 people on the taste of organic foods.
72% of respondents said that organic fruits and vegetables taste better than non-organic.

Consumers may claim that organic foods taste better than non-organic, however we haven't found much evidence proving this is true. Although there hasn't been much research, we have discovered that the way organic apples are stored leaves them more crispier and with a longer lasting flavor. This could be why some believe fruits, such as apples, taste better. We have also learned taste doesn't necessarily come down to whether or not a food is organic or non-organic. According to our interview with Dr. DiRosa and through other research, the taste of food may vary depending on where the food is grown and the amount of nutrients in the soil. After all, how can you really research whether or not organic food tastes better than non-organic? It's almost like trying to research whether McDonald's is better than Burger King. Some consumers may agree McDonald's has tastier food, while some may disagree. It all comes down to personal taste.
Out of curiosity we decided to perform our own experiment...

In this experiment the consumer tried an organic tomato and non-organic tomato, along with an organic apple and non-organic apple. She incorrectly guessed the organic tomato, but correctly guessed the apple. It was found that the organic apple was crispier than the non-organic apple. When asked if there is a difference in taste, the consumer replied, "no." She could not even tell the two different foods apart herself. Once again, we learned many people may claim organic food is tastier, but it seems to be there is little difference in taste when it comes to eating organically and non-organically. It is all about a consumer's personal preference!
